WIN EURASIA 2026 is done. Four days in Istanbul, booth 2/F141, and a lot of good conversations with engineers and procurement managers from across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Here’s a quick look back.

The Show
WIN EURASIA is one of the bigger industrial trade fairs in this part of the world — 700+ exhibitors, 40,000+ visitors, six halls across 55,000 m². The 2026 edition ran under the theme “Driven by Automation,” and that came through on the floor: smart factory systems, industrial IoT, energy automation. Surge protection sits inside that infrastructure at every level, so the audience was a natural fit.

Who Was There
Thor shared Hall 2 with a strong lineup — Finder (Italy), Autonics (South Korea), Delta (Taiwan), Balluff, Bürkert, JUMO, VEGA, and Testo (all Germany), plus TME (Poland) on the component distribution side. Relays, sensors, flow control, process instrumentation, power electronics — the full industrial stack under one roof. Hall 2 also hosted dedicated national pavilions from Germany, Japan, Italy, and China, which tells you the kind of audience WIN EURASIA pulls: this isn’t a regional show.
What We Had on Display
The full Thor SPD range was at the booth, across three product categories.

AC surge protection — Type 1, Type 2, and Type 1+2, IEC 61643-11 and TUV certified, pluggable module design, from 15kA up to 150kA depending on model.
DC & solar surge protection — TRS3 series covering 600V to 1500V DC for PV systems, plus low-voltage DC SPDs for EV charging and energy storage, certified to IEC 61643-31.
Signal & network surge protection — Ethernet/PoE in RJ45 form factor (single port to 24-port rack, IP68 available for outdoor), RS485/control signal DIN rail units, and coaxial/RF interfaces up to 2.5GHz.
Product Highlights
A few models drew more attention at the booth than others.
TRS7-B100 — Type 2 AC SPD rated at In 60kA / Imax 100kA, Uc 385V AC, certified to IEC 61643-11. Built for three-phase industrial distribution boards where the incoming surge current demand is high. Pluggable module means field replacement without touching the wiring.
TRS8-B+C — Type 1+2 combination unit using MOV + GDT technology. Iimp 12.5kA, In 30kA, Imax 60kA, Up ≤1.5kV. One device covers both direct lightning current and switching transients — useful where panel space is tight and a separate Type 1 + Type 2 cascade isn’t practical.
TRS3-C40 (PV, 1000V DC) — Type 2 DC SPD certified to IEC 61643-31. Ucpv 1200V DC, In 20kA, Imax 40kA, Up ≤4.0kV. Covers the string combiner to inverter run in utility-scale PV installations. Also available up to 1500V DC (Ucpv 1800V DC) for high-voltage string systems.
