Available configurations
1P to 4P Type 1 SPD options
Tell us the required pole count together with the phase, conductor and earthing arrangement. THOR can help confirm a suitable model and circuit configuration.
Compare the three models
Check impulse current capability and voltage protection level together.
| Model | Iimp (10/350 μs) | Un | Uc | Up |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TRS-A15 | 15 kA | 230 V AC | 275 V AC | ≤2.0 kV |
| TRS-A25 | 25 kA | 230 V AC | 275 V AC | ≤2.2 kV |
| TRS-A50 | 50 kA | 230 V AC | 275 V AC | ≤2.5 kV |
All three models use graphite-gap technology. Other Uc options, including 320, 385 and 420 V AC, are available on request. Confirm the specifications of the selected version before ordering.
Selection guidance
Match the ratings to your installation
Start with the project specification. Building size alone does not determine the correct TRS-A model.
Confirm the system requirements
Identify the system voltage, phase and conductor arrangement, earthing system, installation point and required 1P, 2P, 3P or 4P configuration.
Compare Iimp, Uc and Up
Select the impulse current capability required by the design, then check continuous operating voltage and voltage protection level. A higher Iimp rating alone does not establish suitability.
Check the selected configuration
Review the model documentation and installation requirements. Share your specification with THOR if you need help confirming a suitable version.

Your questions answered
Common questions
How do TRS-A15, TRS-A25 and TRS-A50 differ?
Their declared Iimp ratings are 15, 25 and 50 kA respectively, with Up values of ≤2.0, ≤2.2 and ≤2.5 kV for the standard versions shown above. All three are graphite-gap Type 1 AC SPDs.
Are other Uc ratings available?
Yes. In addition to the standard 275 V AC version, 320, 385 and 420 V AC options can be requested. Confirm the complete electrical ratings for your selected version with THOR.
Which pole configurations are available?
The TRS-A range is available in 1P, 2P, 3P and 4P configurations. Select the configuration according to the phase and conductor arrangement, system voltage, earthing system and required protection mode. Ask THOR to confirm the circuit configuration if these details are uncertain.
What should I include in a quotation request?
Send the model or required Iimp, system voltage, phase and conductor arrangement, earthing system, required pole configuration, installation point, quantity and any documentation or certification requirements.
