March 27th was the last day of the Elexshow, which is an annual exhibition for the UK electrical industry held in London. During two days at Alexandra Palace, we exhibited and were well-received by many members of the UK electrical community as they viewed and engaged us in discussions about new products.
Thor focused on presenting professional surge protection technology to a specialized audience. Visitors from across the country gathered to discuss updated industry safety requirements. Our presence at this event allowed us to strengthen our brand recognition within the European market.

Positioning ourselves at Booth F100 provided a strategic advantage due to the high foot traffic. We were located directly adjacent to the ABB stand at Booth F102. Being neighbors with a global leader like ABB facilitated several technical exchanges between our engineering teams.
We spent time discussing modular design and global compliance standards with their staff. Such interactions provided valuable insights into how Thor products complement large-scale power distribution systems.

Sales performance and market demand
Over the last two days, Thor’s products have shown an incredible amount of interest, resulting in an immediate purchase order value of more than £150,000 and 55 project leads that can be pursued further down the line. Additionally, we have signed four regionally-based distribution agreements with companies located near the key cities of London and Birmingham.
The type 2 compact SPD TRS2-C40 became our most requested product during the show aimed for residential and commercial contractors at the show. The series is engineered for high-density distribution boards where space is at a premium. With a maximum discharge current Imax of 40kA and a competitive voltage protection level Up of 1.5kV

The TRSS-RJ45 series has garnered significant attention from IT and security experts due to its design for contemporary digital infrastructure. This surge protector is designed to exacerbate the inconvenience that can be caused to vulnerable PoE-enabled hardware including IP cameras or high-end server equipment; while providing protection against transient surges.
The TRSS-RJ45 supports one gigabit of data transmission speed with less than 0.5 dB of insertion loss ensuring maximum data integrity. Additionally, it is capable of supporting a maximum discharge current of 10kA per device, while responding rapidly; therefore, making it a vital layer of protection for industrial Ethernet and smart city equipment.

We recorded sales of approximately 5,500 units for two specific series alone over the two-day period. Its pluggable module design allows for maintenance without disconnecting the primary wiring. Demand for high-quality surge protection is rising as electrical codes become stricter across the UK.

Demonstrating our core Surge Protective Devices remains a vital part of the Elexshow experience. Attendees showed strong interest in the Compact AC SPD series alongside our specialized DC and PV SPD units. Many contractors highlighted the practical value of space-saving designs for modern residential and commercial electrical panels.
The fast-growing use of renewable energy in the UK has led to many solar installers showing great interest in our green/DC power surge protection devices (SPDs). Robust protection from random voltage spikes are necessary to protect the solar infrastructure for long-term use.

Sustainability was a major theme at our booth this year. Many visitors inquired about protection for renewable energy installations, specifically solar and wind power applications. Our TRS3-D series DC SPDs received significant attention from solar farm developers.
