Thor Electric is heading to Lima this August for Expo Perú Industrial 2026, one of the largest industrial trade shows in Latin America. Based in Yueqing, Zhejiang, Thor has been designing and manufacturing surge protective devices since 2006, now exporting to over 85 countries. If you work in electrical distribution, industrial construction, renewable energy, or any field where surge protection matters, we’d like to meet you in person.

About Expo Perú Industrial
Expo Perú Industrial has grown into Peru’s flagship industrial exhibition. The 2026 edition runs across three days at Convexia Expo Center Jockey in Lima’s Santiago de Surco district, drawing manufacturers, distributors, and engineers from Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia.
The show covers a wide range of industrial sectors under one roof:
- Metalworking and machining (FIMM Perú)
- Energy and renewables (Expo Energética)
- Steel and foundry
- Industrial wood and furniture manufacturing
- Warehousing, logistics, and intralogistics
- Industrial safety and security
- Industrial coatings and paint
- Additive manufacturing and composites
For companies like Thor that sell into the Latin American electrical market, this is one of the few events where you can sit down with local panel builders, electrical contractors, and project engineers all in one place. The show pulls serious buyers — people specifying equipment for mining operations, manufacturing plants, commercial buildings, and solar farms across the Andean region.

What We’re Bringing to Booth E43
Thor is showing the full surge protection lineup at this show — AC, DC, and signal line SPDs — all developed and tested in our own laboratory and produced on two automated production lines. Everything carries IEC, TUV, CE, CB, and RoHS certifications. We also support OEM projects with a minimum order of just one piece, so if you’re exploring a private-label SPD line, this is a good conversation to have in person.
AC Surge Protection
Our AC range covers every protection stage. The TRS-A series handles Type 1 duties with graphite gap technology, tested up to 50 kA Iimp at the 10/350 µs waveform — the kind of direct lightning current you see at service entrances. For Type 2, the TRS-B and TRS-C modules use MOV technology with discharge capacity up to 100 kA Imax and response times under 25 ns. Need both stages in one unit? The TRS5 and TRS8 series combine Type 1+2 in a single housing, which cuts panel space and simplifies wiring.
All AC modules use our plug-in cartridge design — pull the module, swap it, no rewiring. When a module fails, the red indicator window tells you immediately, and the remote signaling contact can flag it to a BMS or SCADA system.
DC and Photovoltaic Protection
The TRS3 series covers DC applications from 24 V telecom cabinets up to 1500 V utility-scale solar strings. For PV systems where the inverter sits close to a lightning protection system and separation distance is tight, we have Type 1+2 rated modules that handle Iimp at the 10/350 µs waveform — not just the 8/20 µs surge you get from a standard Type 2.
We also carry the TRSS-LED, an IP67-rated SPD built for street lighting and outdoor LED installations, wired in parallel and rated up to 10 kA Imax.
Signal and Data Line Protection
Lightning doesn’t only hit power cables. Our TRSS-RJ45 protectors cover Ethernet and PoE lines with 10 kA capacity on L-PE and a 250 MHz bandwidth that won’t choke your network speed. They come in single-port wall-mount, DIN rail, IP68 outdoor, and 19-inch rack-mount versions with 24 ports.
For industrial control networks, the TRSS-485 series protects RS-485 and serial communication lines — the kind running between PLCs, sensors, and field devices in factories and mining operations across Latin America.

Why Latin America, Why Now
Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia are investing heavily in power infrastructure, solar generation, and mining electrification. New installations mean new panels, new inverters, and new control systems — all of which need surge protection from day one. At the same time, the Andean region sees some of the highest lightning density in the world, especially in the tropical lowlands east of the cordillera. The demand is real and it’s growing fast.
We’ve been supplying SPDs to Latin American distributors and project contractors for years, but a trade show floor is different from a catalog PDF. You can hold the module, click the plug-in mechanism, check the build quality, and talk specs face-to-face with our engineers. That’s why we’re here.
Find Us at Booth E43
Our booth sits on the right side of the hall, close to the main entrance — you’ll see us as soon as you walk in. Stop by between August 20 and 22, any time from 11:00 to 19:00.
Whether you’re an electrical distributor looking for a new SPD brand, a contractor pricing out a project, or an engineer who wants to compare specs in person — we’re ready to talk.
